Who • The Artists
Jeet Pandya’s wistful portraits have, at first, an elegiac look almost like sepia-tinted photographs. Their colours are subtle and muted, enacting the themes of the transience on life. He stains his pictorial surface with tea and coffee and by doing so gives the works an intimate though haunting quality.
His portraits of people and animals offer a somewhat naive and touching feel which conveys his love for his subjects and articulates a sentimental vision.
